Tell Me More, Tell Me More!

I saw this linky party over at Mrs. Lemons and decided to come out of my summer hiding place. :)  I love learning about all of my bloggy friends and their lives OUTside of the classroom!  Here we go...

1. I am the baby of my family, and I totally eat up my role. :)  There are 20 years between me and my oldest sister, and I've been an aunt since I was 4!

2. I am OBSESSED with birthdays!!  Every year my Dad and I make a number cake for however old I am turning.  It's probably one of my most favorite traditions. :)

3. I've been married over a year now and still sleep with my baby blanket... I cannot believe I just admitted that publicly...

4. I love, love, LOVE traveling!!  Here is Mr. Hubs and I in Italy last summer!

5. My favorite color is pink!!  For our wedding, since I couldn't wear pink on the actual day, I got all new pink dresses to wear to each of my showers AND found the most fabulous pink shoes to wear with my gown...complete with glitter and bows!

6. I was a mega cheerleader in junior high and high school.  I cheered for sports, competed, coached, and even modeled uniforms for a catalog!

7. I am a complete sucker for my dogs.  I make them bows and necklaces and even have birthday parties for them.  This is Ellie Mae's first birthday (a while ago!) when she wouldn't keep her Disney princess hat on... :)

8. Christmas is my most favorite time of the year.  Even though we are all grown, all the kids still get matching pj's on Christmas Eve.  We have to sit at the top of the stairs and wait to see what Santa has brought us!

Now that I have scared you away from my blog forever... head on over and link up yourself!!  Hope you're having a good week!

Love, Sara :)

  3. So I was trying to think of something to tell you that I loved the most, but I LOVED reading all about you! Ha! Especially when you said "I can't believe I just admitted that publicly!" :)
After 5 years of marriage, I still can't snuggle with my hubbers. I like my space and my two pillows that I hug to sleep! :) We all have "something!"

  4. So jealous of the travel-must be so much fun!

People make fun of me all the time for celebrating my dog's birthday-but they're part of the family--how can you not? :)

  5. I love your wedding shoes!!!

Hope over to read about my quarks too! :)

  6. I've been married for three years and my baby blanket is in my night stand drawer. I would keep it in my pillow case but I have a fear that my husband will wash the sheets without looking in the pillowcase and destroy my baby blanket...and I just admitted that publicly for you!

Please hop on over and check out my brand new blog (only three weeks old!)

  7. I absolutely love to travel too. It would be a dream to be able to go to Italy! I enjoyed getting to know more about you! :)

  9. My parents make us sit at the top of the stairs on Christmas morning too! They even make my husband do it now too! And I stole a shirt from my husband when we first started dating (8 years ago) and I HAVE to sleep with every night. Can't fall asleep without it!

  10. I am 30 years old and still sleep with my baby blanket, too...and a stuffed rabbit I have had since I was born. They usually get kicked to the very bottom of my bed under the covers, but I know they are there!

  11. Hey Sara!! How crazy is this- found you through a linky & realized we worked together at sky ranch one year!! SMALL WORLD! I nominated you for a blogger award, come visit my page for more details. So happy to find you on here! Oh ya-- I will be your newest follower!

    Liz :)

  14. Love your family tradition for Christmas! While it may seem a little silly as grown-ups those are the kinds of moments we always remember and bond over.
Love your blog so I gave you an award. Drop by and pick it up.

  15. You are just all kinds of precious and sweet. I love the way your family celebrates Christmas and birthdays...even the birthdays for your fur babies. Your latest post just brought tears to my eyes about your aunt. I know you are treasuring the time with your aunt and uncle. I pray there will one day be a cure and I hope you are able to raise tons of money selling your awesome activities. =)
